Making Display Cabinets Part 3: Andrew Pitts~FurnitureMaker

In this third video of a series on making two similar display cabinets using red oak wood from my client’s own tree, Andy makes the frame and panel sides and doors of the cabinets, complete with muntins to hold double strength glass. Techniques include using the router table and shaper to cut tongue and groove joints on the muntins, tenoning with the table saw dado set, cutting mortises in the rails and stiles, making wood keepers to hold the glass into the muntins, finishing with shellac polish, and gluing up the side and door assemblies.

These woodworking videos show how Andrew Pitts makes his fine custom furniture in his woodworking workshop in Virginia. He also often demonstrates new uses for his ShopBot Desktop CNC routing machine, and has included other useful videos such as how to photograph furniture.
